Extra Page: Ghost Tours

I was told that there was a ghost tour conducted every night for those
who were staying in the camp. In fact, I was told there were several on
some nights. I say, "I was told..." because I do not believe
in ghosts so I don't go on such things. I tend to spoil the fun with
logic that no one wants to hear. It has been explained to me that my
disbelief is the reason I cannot see them; an amazing form of circular logic, the explanation of which is
left to the reader.
However, it seems to have amused folks who went on them mightily. I suppose you have something to do other than sit around and drink rum and/or mead. (Why, I don't know.) Several of these tours were led by M.A. d'Dogge who appears to be quite adept at giving them from what I heard. I believe Diosa also ran a few of them through the fort as well.
While Harry tells me there are several persisting ghosts in the fort, the big ghost thrill is from the victims of 'yellow fever'. Apparently this occurs at the vicinity of the loo, because that's where you find most of the yellow fever ghosts. Repeat the magic phrase and...BOO!
Below from left: A pic of the scary roof. Next we have a slightly cockeyed cross with the smeared green blood of goblins or something. (Cockeyed cinematographic angles are how Hitchcock proved the existence of ghosts. If he did, in fact, prove this, that is.) Note that Jessi, who also does not believe in ghosts but went on one of the tours, took those photos. At right is one of the cannon gun ports in the fort wall in a nice spooky shot.

Below left: Another great Jessi cockeyed angle - I think she did this on purpose. It's so effective. Next we have Edward O'Keefe and William listening to the Captain explain what happened when he encountered a ghost. Or maybe not, but it sort of looks like it belongs here, so here it is. Last, something for everyone to be afraid of...especially when he's reaching for his piece like that... Note the ghostly glow around him created by the crappy photoedit...er, his eerie presence. Spooky!
