Pirates in Paradise 2008 - Key West, Fl
Extra Page: The Pirates Take Fort Taylor
Following the second battle, the pirates took the fort. The British surrendered despite a remarkable lack of casualties on either side. This involved Iron Nigel stripping the Viceroy of the accoutrements of his office and the raising of the pirate flag.

Once the pirates took the fort, they decided to have a little fun.
Iron Nigel took the Viceroy's coat (left) to see what it felt like to be
in charge of the fort. He seems to like it fine (right).
Nigel then goes after the Viceroy's hat. (Shades of Stynky's obsession with hats. Maybe this is where it came from?)
From left below: Iron Nigel tentatively takes the Viceroy's hat on the tip of his sword. He then parades around with it on his sword for all the pirates to see. He finally grabs it causing all the pirates to gather around to admire the Viceroy's hat of power. You'll notice he never actually puts the Viceroy's hat on. My guess is that he was afraid of getting lice or something like that.
