Extra Page: Conquistadors Take Captain Spike

Events are always so full of events and things to do that you can never
see them all. Pirates in Paradise is particularly challenging because
it's so freewheeling and spontaneous that ideas pop into people's heads
and they just run with them. These two sentences are my excuse for
missing the attempted arrest of Bone Island Buccaneers Captain Spike by four self-proclaimed
conquistadors. Fortunately for me, Captain Sophia M. Eisley was on hand
for this rather spontaneous event and was able to capture much of it on
film. She also gives a nice account of the event on
her
blog.
I imagine that the conquistador plot was hatched in Willie Wobble's community food prep and dining space or neighboring William and Doug's campsite as they make up the bulk of the force. Somehow they got Bone Island Buccaneer Deadeye to turn coat on his captain and join their cause (probably because he had a breast plate). The conquistadors appear at right - from left, Willie Wobble, William the mysterious pirate from the mysterious crew, Deadeye and Doug, who appears to be William's dogs body and whipping boy.

Although I was not there, I can make up what happened as well as anyone. Above: The conquistadors approach the Viceroy about arresting Spike for stealing. (Although they are going to plant the stolen items on him.)

Above left: The conquistadors take Spike, center: William senses a trap. Right: The pirates swoop in and trap Doug the conquistador. Below left: Scarlett Jai grabs conquistador Deadeye's pike. Center: and traps him. Right: She turns guard duty over to Iron Nigel with Deadeye's own pike.

Spike then threatens the conquistadors with banishment to the time period in which they belong (above left) if they ever try to pin a crime he didn't at least have the enjoyment of committing on him ever again. The conquistadors then retreated back to their camp where they finally got rid of that gaudy flag William had been carrying all day (above right). The end. Now go to sleep.
